Final score as confirmed by the Hospital on Corn Island - You have nada.  Who knows what caused the fever, but I am fine now.  Thank god, my parents nagged me about stopping the Malaria medication.  I would hate for them to justifiably be able to tell me "I told you so". 
The Hospital was surprisingly Westernized and sterile.  And they are a step ahead of the US in that they apparently have free medical care.
