I've been to Spietz several times.  I have friends who live in the area.  It's truly beautiful there.  The views are amazing anywhere you are in the area.  With the chain of lakes all over, it's a perfect place for a leisurely drive on the lakefront streets.  Take a lunchbasket!

I was busy with work and only, had the opportunity for one weekend in Switzerland.  Now my life has changed - I have all the time in the world, but not enough money to go back.  *sigh*

I first went to Spietz [Spiez]as a schoolboy with my parents, nearly 50 years ago.  Over the years, I have revisited a few times (from Australia), and am never disappointed.  One of the most beautiful places on earth, and only a short drive to Interlaken.
