This is a view from Namche Bazaar. I looked up and where there should have been sky instead the clouds parted and showed the mountains surrounding the town.

Nepal is amazingly cheap.  I spent 2.5 weeks in the mountains and averaged less than $10/day.  As you go higher, the prices slowly also go up as all supplies have to be carried in.  The first stop on the trek was only $0.15 for a room and $1 for all you can eat.  The last stop, Gorak Shep, was about $20/day for food and accomodations.
