These older journal entries were hastily typed in at
local cybercafes where I was paying by the minute. Please excuse grammar mistakes or typos.
Now I'm really not in a hurry. I pick up "In Patagonia" from the bookshelf and decide I'd rather sit around reading a book than go anywhere today.
Here are some classic characters from the book:
"Sheffield offered his services as a fellow drinker and a guide..." "He was a crack shot. He shot trout from the rivers; a cigarette packer from the police commissioner's mouth; and had a habit of picking off ladies high heels."
Achie Tuffnel "I don't want to get sunk down in an arm chair. Not at my age. I might never get up."
FACTOID - A girl from Colorado tells me that Sept. 11 is past tense. "America is back to normal now." Could this be true?
